WESTFIELD—Westfield Community Players is celebrating their 75th anniversary with a costume soiree in the theater at 1000 North Avenue, West in Westfield on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8 to 11 p.m.

With tickets at $40 each or $75 for two, President Joanne Lemenille noted that all proceeds will benefit the building fund, to help keep the theater in fine shape for the next 75 years.  For tickets , call 1-908-233-1398.

As one of the oldest, continually operating community theater groups in the state, WCP is hosting a costume soiree to celebrate their first 75 years.  The evening will feature live entertainment, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, all to take place in the theater.   A ticket also enters you into a raffle drawing for a restaurant gift basket.

Lemenille said, “We are inviting former members, actors, backstage crew, directors, other volunteers and friends of WCP” to help us celebrate in grand style.  Come as your favorite theater character, portray a famous author, or wear your best evening clothes to celebrate our 75th anniversary in grand style.”

Board member and event planner Gail Smith encouraged theater patrons to consider a donation to the building fund if they are unable to attend.
