SAYREVILLE—Nicholas J. Perrette will replace Maria Catallo on the Republican ticket running for borough council. He will join Frank Bella.
Perrette, 63, is a newcomer to the political arena but has been a borough resident for 16 years and has more than 40 years of experience in the banking and brokerage industry. He and his wife, Madeline, have three children.
“My platform will be, ‘What do the people of Sayreville really need,’” Perrette said. “I’m just looking to serve the people of Sayreville. I’ll bring programs to the table that can help maintain a stable tax rate. I would also like to do something for the unemployed, maybe set up a job bank within the town.”
