Boy Scouts Support Patriots’ Day

CLARK – On Sept. 11, Boy Scout Troop 310 of Clark visited local police and fire departments to thank them for their constant service to their communities as well as their assistance during the Sept. 11, 2001 rescue and recovery efforts.

During the course of the evening they were able to visit the Clark police and fire departments, Linden Police Department and the DeWitt, Wood Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue firehouses in Linden.

The scouts greeted each of the police departments and firehouses with platters of homemade “goodies,” cards of thanks from local schools and a poster saying “Thank you.”

The looks of amazement on the faces of the men at the stations as they opened their doors to the Scouts left the boys with a feeling of doing something very worthwhile and unselfish for their communities as well.
