CPAs Launch Social Media Initiatives To Spread Financial Literacy Message

ROSELAND – The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) has turned to social networking sites Facebook and Twitter to help meet the urgent and growing need for more and better financial education for adults and children.

The NJSCPA Facebook ( and Twitter groups ( are dedicated to promoting healthy personal finance practices, smart money management tips and techniques, and the latest news on saving and smart spending.


“The Society has had great success raising awareness about the importance of personal financial literacy among New Jersey residents through our public website,, seminars and education services. By bringing that message to Facebook and Twitter, we’re meeting the public where they are,” says Donald Meyer, Director of Communications and Marketing for the NJSCPA.

“Social media sites will provide another way of engaging the public and allow us to convey important information about our programs and events.”
