Armed Suspect Allegedly Threatens Rahway Woman At Knifepoint

RAHWAY – Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly threatened a woman with a knife inside her Broad Street home Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to an 11:30 a.m. call reporting a possible home invasion on the 1100 block of Broad Street. An unidentified man allegedly entered the residence through an unlocked rear door, police said. The man allegedly threatened a female resident with a knife and demanded money, according to police.


Police were not immediately certain if anything was taken from the home. The suspect reportedly fled on a black and blue bike. Police said that two children were present in the home at the time of the incident.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot, 7-inch black man who was wearing a black mask and blue jeans, police said.
