CARTERET – The borough will hold a memorial service at Carteret Park for the Americans who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks that took place in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania eight years ago.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the September 11 Memorial at Carteret Park, which has been dedicated to Joe Mangano, Colleen Mehan-Barkow, and Jaycee DeChavez, who died in Manhattan during the World Trade Center attacks.
Several thousand residents and visitors are expected to be in attendance, as well as local, county, and state government officials.
