Sierra Club Nixes 2 Dems

UNION COUNTY—The New Jersey chapter of the Sierra Club endorsed four Union County lawmakers  for the Assembly, but the organization denied re-election support to two prominent Democratic incumbents.

The Sierra Club endorsed four Assembly incumbents, Democrats Annette Quijano and Linda Stender, along with Republicans Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz; but the environmental organization denied its support for the re-election of Joseph Cryan and Gerald Green.

The organization has also endorsed independent gubernatorial candidate Chris Daggett, in a stunning rejection of an incumbent Democratic governor who boasts of a strong environmental record.
