Woodbridge Offers Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic

WOODBRIDGE – The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services and Animal Control Division is offering free rabies inoculations for township dogs and cats on Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza (adjacent to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School).

All Woodbridge Township pet owners must license and inoculate dogs and cats five months old or older.  If a dog or cat has not been inoculated since 2007/2008, the pet must be re-inoculated now.  Pet license, proof of prior year rabies inoculation and spaying/neutering certificate must be presented at time of inoculation (except for first-time pet inoculations).

Woodbridge Township pet licenses may be purchased at the rabies clinic for unlicensed pets.  Dog license fees are $17 (non-spayed/neutered) or $14 (spayed/neutered.)  Cat license fees are $22 (non-spayed/neutered) and $12 (spayed/neutered).  Adults must accompany the pet – dogs must be leashed and cats must be contained in a closed carrier.
