Linden To Consider Classroom Additions & Renovations

LINDEN – The Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on a proposal to add and renovate 18 classrooms for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes at Linden Public School No. 2. The project cost is not expected to exceed $10.9 million, with up to $5 million paid for with lease-purchase financing, an estimated $2.4 million state grant and an estimated $3.5 million in board funds.

Residents may ask questions or offer comments at the meeting on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at Linden High School, 121 West St. Georges Avenue. The school board’s regular meeting will begin following the hearing.
