Museum Holds Celebration Of Lives Lost On Sept. 11

PERTH AMBOY—The Perth Amboy Ferry Slip Museum will host an event on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the ferry slip.

A Sept. 11 commemoration will be followed by a taste of Spain presented by the Little Spain Restaurant in Fords. The evening will include their famous giant paella and other dishes from the country of Spain. Two flamenco dancers will demonstrate the dance in typical Spanish flamenco dresses.

It will be a wonderful night to remember and celebrate the lives of those who died on 9/11. It is also an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Perth Amboy waterfront from the ferry slip deck while helping a very good cause. All proceeds from the $30 per person donation will be used towards the new museum.

Tours of the new museum are included. Learn more about the area’s maritime history from the native Americans who first depended on the waters for food and transportation to the boats that raced to rescue Sept. 11 survivors.

Reservations are required and limited. For more information or tickets, call 1-732-442-6425.
