Gas Station Robbed For Second Time In A Week

LINDEN – Robbers struck the Delta Gas Station on West St. Georges Avenue for the second time in a week Sunday night, police said.

At 11:50 p.m. on Aug. 30, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. The gas station attendant reported that two black teens approached him while he was standing near the booth. They displayed a black handgun and demanded cash, he told police.

The attendant gave them approximately $300 and they fled on foot across St. Georges Avenue towards the 900 block of Orchard Terrace, the victim told police.

One suspect is thin, about 5’11” and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a black bandana at the time of the robber. The other suspect is thin, about 5’7” and was wearing a black t-shirt and a red bandana at the time of the robbery, police said.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that this crime may be linked to the previous robbery on Aug. 24 and another robbery of the Exxon station across the street on Aug. 19.
