Aug. 25 at 12:52 a.m. – Officer Daniel Joy investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Lake Avenue residence.

Aug. 25 at 6:35 a.m. – Officer Pat Grady investigated a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Lake Avenue residence.

Aug. 26 at 6:04 p.m. – At Headquarters, Officer Marty Venezio arrested Trenton resident Crystal Simms, 36, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  She was subsequently released on her own recognizance.

Aug. 27 at 6:03 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Terrance Harrison arrested Rahway resident Carmine Cantalupo, 59, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $85.95 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.

Aug. 29 at 12:04 a.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Shop-Rite Way, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Jersey City resident Marc Barrett, 20, for possession of prescription drugs.  He was subsequently released pending a court date.

Aug. 29 at 3:25 a.m. – In the vicinity of Brant and Westfield avenues, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Perth Amboy resident Jose Betances, 25, for DWI. He was subsequently released pending a court date.  Also arrested was Fords resident Johnny Taveras, 26, on warrants from North Bergen and Woodbridge, New Jersey for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

Aug. 29 at 7:08 a.m. – Officer Keith Meehan investigated a report of criminal mischief to a Kenneth Place residence. The incident is under investigation.

Aug. 31 at 2:38 a.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, Sgt. Pete Matos arrested Parlin resident Angat Chokshi, 22, single, for DWI. He was subsequently released pending a court date.
