LINDEN – An armed robber stole approximately $200 from a West St. Georges Avenue gas station on Monday, police said.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Delta Gas Station on Aug. 24 at 9:38 p.m. The attendant, 53, told police that a black man, about 25-years-old, approached him by the gas pumps and displayed a black handgun. The robber told the attendant to drop the money to the ground, then scooped it up and fled on foot.

Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect. Detectives are trying to determine if this robbery is connected with a similar incident at the Exxon Station across the street on Aug. 19.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robberies to contact Detective John Johnston at 908-474-8550, or email
