Aug. 17 at 4:58 p.m. – Det. Alex Yanes arrested Angelo Farrugia, 49, at his Sweet Briar Drive home on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations. He was subsequently released after posting bail.

Aug. 17 at 6:06 p.m. – Officer Marty Venezio investigated a report of a burglary to a Doris Way residence.

Aug. 17 at 8:52 p.m. – In the vicinity of Terminal and Westfield avenues, Officer Daniel Joy arrested Elizabeth resident Jeffrey Roman, 46, on an outstanding warrant from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. He was issued a summons for driving with a suspended driver’s license and subsequently turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

Aug. 18 at 1:08 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, Det. Walter Merfert arrested Clark resident Sergio Jimenez, 30, on an outstanding warrant from Belmar for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations. He was issued a summons for driving with a suspended driver’s license and released after posting bail.

Aug. 19 at 11:24 p.m. – At Middlesex County Jail, Officer Brian Soos arrested Roselle resident Debra Lockhart, 49, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations. She was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

Aug. 20 at 1:44 p.m. – Officer John Ehling investigated a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot at 45 Central Avenue.

Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m. – Officer Christopher Tuccio investigated a theft of an air conditioner at 480 Parkway Drive.

Aug. 21 at 1:45 p.m. – In the vicinity of 45 Central Avenue, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Little Silver resident Matthew Laverty, 22, for possession of a CDS, possession of a CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Also arrested was Little Silver resident Robert McAlonie, 23, for possession of a CDS, possession of a CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Both men were subsequently released pending a court date.

Aug. 21 at 3:30 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, Officer Pat Grady arrested East Orange resident Lance McLaughlin, 27, on outstanding warrants from East Orange and Union Township for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations. He was subsequently released pending    a court date.

Aug. 22 at 2:26 a.m. – Officer Terrance Harrison investigated a report of criminal mischief to a Fulton Street residence.
