Church Marks “God Bless America Week”

RAHWAY  – “God Bless America Week”, sponsored by the Sts.Mary/Mark R.C. Parish Community, will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 232 Central Ave., Rahway, NJ, beginning with a Memorial Mass for Lt. Vincent R. Capodanno, at 7 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 4, and concluding with a 9/11 Remembrance Mass, at 7 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 11, according to Fr, Dennis Kaelin, pastor.

The schedule for the week will include: Friday, Sept. 4 at Noon: First Friday Mass; 1–7 p.m.: Eucharistic Adoration; 7 p.m.: Memorial Mass for Lt. Vincent R. Capodanno.

Saturday, Sept. 5 at 8 a.m.: First Saturday Mass; 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.: “Mornings with Mary”   Monday, Sept. 7 at  9 a.m.: Labor Day Mass.

Tuesday, Sep. 8 at  8 a.m. and 7 p.m., Liturgies of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Friday, Sept. 11 at  8 a.m.: 9/11 Remembrance Mass;  8:46 a.m.: Church Bells Ring/1st Tower struck;  9:03 a.m.: Church Bells Ring/2nd Tower struck; 7 p.m., 9/11 Remembrance Mass;  7:30 p.m. Candlelight Patriotic Ceremony.

Everyone is invited to attend all or any of these “God Bless America” services, Fr. Kaelin said.
