WOODBRIDGE – Two concerts, a movie and the Farmer’s Market highlight the final week of August in Woodbridge.
Every Saturday, the Downtown Farmer’s Market offers the finest “Jersey Fresh” produce, fruits, vegetables, baked goods and specialty food items. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located in the Town Hall parking lot on Main Street. Park for free in the NJ Transit lot next to Town Hall.
Eagles Tribute Band “Hotel California” will take the stage on Monday, Aug. 24, as the Mayor’s Summer Concert Series continues at 7:30 p.m. in the field behind Woodbridge High School. The Summer Concert Program, sponsored by Sansone’s Route 1 Auto Mall, ShopRite and Woodbridge Center, is free. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items for donation to township food banks.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, wind up the Woodbridge Wednesday Concerts on Main Street by listening to the Irish sounds of Bobby Byrne. Sponsored by Allegiance Bank, Woodbridge Wednesday Concerts get underway at 7:30 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Woodbridge. Admission is free.
The final “Movie in the Park” is set for Thursday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. at Alvin P. Williams Park on the Sewaren waterfront. This week, watch “ANTZ” as “Z” struggles for the affection of Princess Bala. Food is provided by Royal Albert’s Palace.
