MIDDLESEX – Middlesex police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Aug. 11, on a charge of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in the borough, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Middlesex Borough Police Chief James L. Benson announced.
The teenager, whose name is being withheld because of his age, was charged with juvenile delinquency by committing an act of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of the child.
The teenager remains in custody at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center.
He was arrested and charged after an investigation by Detective Chad Corner, of the Middlesex Borough Police Department, and Investigator Karleen Duca, of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit, determined that the teenager assaulted the boy on Aug. 10, in a men’s bathroom at the Roy K. Harkness Community Pool in Middlesex Borough.
