SCOTCH PLAINS—Monday, Sept. 21, marks the 23rd annual golf outing to benefit the Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. This year the event will be held at Ash Brook Golf Course, Scotch Plains.
Over the past 23 years, the golf outing, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser, has raised over $2 million. This money is utilized to provide services from physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, counselors and volunteers to thousands of terminally ill patients and their loved ones.
There are two “hole in one” sponsors this year. Tom West, proprietor of Tom West Carpeting, Clark, is sponsoring one prize, which will be $10,000 cash. The other prize, sponsored by Ellen Ramer, proprietor of Martin’s Jewelers, Cranford is a Rolex watch President Model.
All sponsors and contributors will receive recognition in the program and a sign will be displayed at the outing with your name. The cost is $185 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, Green Fees, Putting Green, BBQ lunch, cocktail hour, and dinner at The Gran Centurions, Clark.
For those who wish to attend the cocktail hour and dinner only, the cost is $65 per person. There will be a gift for each golfer and a silent auction will take place. Deadline for sponsorships and signs is Sept. 15.
