UNION COUNTY – Police are investigating two robberies that happened hours apart in the Union County area on July 31.

Two men wearing dark clothes and baseball caps circled Max’s Gas Station in Rahway before entering, drawing a gun and getting away with almost $250 in cash, authorities said. Hours later, a delivery man arriving home at around 11:30 p.m. was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men outside his Elizabeth Avenue home, police said.

Police say there have been a string of robberies in the area. They are unsure if any of the robberies are related.
