Police Hold GREAT Summer Camp For Kids

LINDEN—The Linden Police Department’s Juvenile Bureau recently held G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Summer Camp. The program fostered the goal of helping students make positive choices and develop life-long skills.

The G.R.E.A.T. lessons focus on providing life skills to students to help them avoid using delinquent behavior and violence to solve problems, officials said.

The Linden Police Department forged partnerships with the following agencies: New Jersey State Police, NJ National Guard and NJ Air National Guard, Department of Corrections, East Jersey State Prison, Linden Police Athletic League, Linden Board of Education and the Linden Recreation Department.
