LINDEN – Two men asked a St. Georges Avenue car dealer to take a test drive last week and made off with the car, police said.

The owner of Park Avenue Auto Lot told police that two men came to the lot on Aug. 4 and expressed interest in a black 2003 BMW 325. When they asked to take the car for a test drive, the owner handed over the key and went to his office to get a dealer plate. Minutes later, the man returned to find the men and the car gone, police said.

One of the suspects is a tall, thin man, approximately 30 years old, who is bald and has a large scar on the back of his head. The other was a tall, thin 50-year-old man.

Police ask anyone with information on the theft to contact Det. Frank Leporino of the Auto Crimes Squad at 908-474-8535 or email
