Recent news reports claim the lack of heat and water at the Delaney Homes makes them obsolete. Who looted the plumbing? Did HUD agree to this destruction? Will there be a scandal as in the Perth Amboy Parking Authority?
Back around 2002, I remember work being done at Delaney Homes to improve these row houses. Was that tax money down the drain? Were the Delaney Homes shut down in 2003 to create a housing shortage to benefit the speculators who were building tenements?
Other news told about a “developer” who was bribing and corrupting elected officials. This corruption seldom occurs in small towns where people live in their own homes on their own land. Corruption can be reduced by banning multi-family apartments (or tenements) as un-American since they are owned by the wealthy and are inherently anti-democratic.
