RAHWAY – “Week of Mary”, presented by the Sts.Mary/Mark Parish, Rahway, will open with a Flower Procession and Installation of the Marian Statue, on Friday, Aug. 14 at the 7 p.m. anticipated Mass of the Feast of the Assumption, in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 232 Central Avenue, Rahway, according to Fr. Dennis Kaelin, pastor.
In addition, the weekend liturgies will include the recitation of “The Angelus” and a special Candlelight Procession on Sunday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.
The week-day 7 p.m. liturgies will include the following: Monday, Aug. 17, Miraculous Medal Novena and Rosary; Tuesday, Aug. 18, Holy Name Procession; Wednesday, Aug. 19, Anointing of the Sick; Thursday, Aug. 20, Blessing of Marriages/Families; and Friday, Aug. 21, Hibernian Our Lady of Knock Liturgy followed by a hospitality social.
The week-long Marian program will conclude on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the 8 a.m. Liturgy of the Queenship of Mary, where she will be given a Final Recessional Farewell in the tradition of Fatima.
