The news media tells about bribes and attempted bribes, but not that entrapment used to be a defense against these intrigues by government agents. When did that change?

Was it a Supreme Court decision or a new law? Is this a new form of political persecution against politicians who aren’t independently wealthy or in the pockets of the wealthy?

Logically and legally people are considered innocent until convicted.
