RAHWAY—Community Access Unlimited will be hosting its 11th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Sept. 26, from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Rahway River Park in Rahway.

Participants in the walk-a-thon are seeking sponsors who will pledge money that will be used to support programs of Community Access Unlimited, a Union County based non-profit social service agency that helps people with special needs. The day is open for community members and their families to get involved and help raise money to support adults with disabilities and at-risk youth.

The walk-a-thon is in need of corporate sponsors for the day. Companies providing $500 or more in sponsorship will have signage along the walk route, along with their company name on the tee shirt given to all walkers.
Walkers are also invited to participate. Organizers would like to see Walk Teams coordinated this year to make this a community fundraiser and to increase the $24,000 that was raised last year. Concluding the Walk-A-Thon will be a BBQ picnic for the sponsors, walkers and supporters.

For more information about sponsorship and to participate in the day’s events, contact Katie Baird, coordinator of marketing & fundraising at 908-354-3040, ext 376 or kbaird@caunj.org.
