Baseball Showcase Lets Prospect Test Their Skills

MANSFIELD, Pa.—The seventh annual DeMarini/Wilson Skills Baseball Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 2, at Slippery Rock University and Sunday, Aug. 9, on the campus of Mansfield University.

Instruction and evaluations will be given from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.  This showcase is open to any top high school prospect looking to further their baseball career at the college or professional level.  The cost of the event will be $150 for each location, which will include lunch.

Players will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of collegiate coaches from all levels of college baseball.  Representation from NCAA Div. I, II, III, along with junior college coaches makes this a tremendous opportunity for any high school baseball player.

Instruction will be given in all areas of the game and participants will be taken through a full professional tryout.  Athletes will be tested in the 60 yard dash, arm strength evaluations from primary positions as well as live batting practice.
