There is news of a plan to demolish the former Vocational Technical School in Perth Amboy and replace it with tenements for older people. This seems like another waste of resources given the need for additional space for high-school students.
What about the Delaney Homes for housing? They exist today and would be as useful as the newer Otlowski Homes. All they would need is new space along Route 35 for a grocery store that is in walking distance.
Did they plan enough parking space for the proposed tenements? Will they provide enough working elevators for a four-level tenement building? Will the NJ courts strike down the laws concerning age-restricted tenements? Is there a real need for tenements for seniors?
The hidden agenda behind the planned destruction of Delaney Homes and the Vocational Technical School is to oppress people with higher taxes to benefit the wealthy who own municipal bonds. Who else benefits?
