Unpatriotic Omission

I attended the beautiful fireworks display in Clark on July 4th.  As a veteran I was very disturbed that they didn’t begin the fireworks display with the National Anthem.

July 4th is a special day for us to celebrate our freedom and honor those who sacrificed so much for us.  Although it has been over 40 years since my service in Vietnam I still get emotional when I see people stand and sing our National Anthem.

I am proud of our country, we enjoy freedoms that no one in the world enjoys.  It is very important for people to remember that when they stand and honor our Flag and Country by singing our National Anthem.
