FARMINGDALE, N.Y.—As a kick-off to the U.S. Open National Championship, youngsters who participate in First Tee of Middlesex County’s golf and life skills went to Bethpage State Park for U.S. Open Junior Day.  The day’s activities were highlighted by demonstrations and clinics presented by professional golfers Hunter Mahan and two-time U.S. Open Champion Andy North. First Tee of Middlesex County has been conducting golf and life skills sessions at Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick for youngsters age 5-18 on weeknights and Saturdays this spring.  The organization’s primary goals are to teach life skills and core values through the game of golf to all children and especially to those who might not otherwise have access to the game.
