Cranford Teen Shows Uncommon Generosity

Adam Gurman

CRANFORD – A Cranford teen’s generosity will help others in the fight against cancer.

Adam Gurman recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah. Unlike most teens, he didn’t look to spend his Bar Mitzvah gifts or bank them for the future. Gurman wanted to make a donation to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Gurman’s parents set an example by making their own donations to the American Cancer Society over the years in honor of their neighbor and friend, cancer survivor Vito Toto.

Gurman donated $4,000 to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Clark in support of the Amici e Cugini Team. Because of this contribution, Amici e Cugini was honored as the top fundraising team at the event, raising a grand total of $20,660.
