ROSELLE – Zamba Chicken will prove on Aug. 8 that every once in a while, there is such a thing as a free lunch.
The restaurant announced that the grand opening of its Roselle location, 711 E. First Avenue, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning at noon.
The highlight of the grand opening will be the Zamba Free Food Celebration. Zamba is giving away 1,000 free quarter-chicken meals with rice to guests who attend the grand opening. Guests must present a postcard they received in the mail to receive the free meal. Postcards will be mailed to nearby residents about a week before the event.
“We’re excited to become a part of the Roselle community and to celebrate, we’re giving away free food to as many people as possible,” said Zamba Chicken owner John Gennaro. “We’ll be making a lot of barbecued chicken, so make sure you bring your appetite.”
The Free Food Celebration will take place between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 8.
The Roselle restaurant is Zamba Chicken’s second location. The first Zamba Chicken opened in Westfield in 2007. Zamba Chicken serves South American fusion cuisine at a reasonable price in an upscale atmosphere.
