Retired Men’s Club Elects Officers

LINDEN—The Linden Retired Men’s Club held their annual Election of Officers on June 16 at a social event celebrating Flag Day. All of the current officers were re-elected for the 2009-2010 term.

They are: President Michael Pileggi, Vice President Steve Zielinski, Secretary Marian Magierowski, Treasurer Helen Karafa, Financial Secretary Pat Marchione and Assistant Secretary Walter Wietrzykowski.

The Linden Retired Men’s Club is the largest, most active and fastest growing senior citizen organization sponsored by the City of Linden Department of Public Property and Community Services. Organized in 1959, the club celebrated their 50th anniversary at a gala affair in February. In 1989, women were invited to join the club and now over 40 percent of the members are women.

Any senior citizen of Linden may join the club at any business meeting. For further information, call the J.T.G. Recreation Center at 908-474-8627.
