LINDEN – The Linden Department of Public Property and Community Services will present the Golden Falcon Baseball Camp in Linden.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. from Monday, July 20, to Thursday, July 23. (A rain date is scheduled on Friday, July 24.) Activities will take place at the Edward Flanagan Little League Complex on South Stiles Street in Linden. The camp is open to boys and girls who will be completing kindergarten eight grade during the 2009-2010 school year.
The Golden Falcon Baseball Camp will be starting its 11th year of developing youth in the game of baseball, but this is the first year it will operate in Linden.
The camp is directed by Ed Ward, the assistant baseball coach at Division I New Jersey Institute of Technology. Ward has completed his 28th season of coaching on the college and high school levels. Members of the NJIT coaching staff and players, along with top high school coaches from northern New Jersey, will provide quality instruction.
Every camper will receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Newark Bears game, a camp certificate, and a written evaluation on their performance for the week. The camp offers special awards for the campers that will be given throughout the four days of camp.
The tuition for the camp is $150. For more information, call Ward at (908) 347-6485 or the Linden Department of Public Property & Community Services at (908) 474-8600.
Registration deadline for the camp is Wednesday, July 15.
