Local Students Earn Lehigh Degrees

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Nearly 2,000 Lehigh University students received degrees during the school’s 141st Spring Commencement ceremonies at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem, Pa. Jeffrey Sachs, renowned economist, writer and educator, delivered the 2009 commencement address.

Local graduates include:

  • Samantha Stillman of Clark, who received a Bachelor of Arts in history.
  • Michael Schaefer of Clark, who received a Master of Business Admin in marketing.
  • Alexander Vitale of Edison, who received a Bachelor of Science in finance.
  • David Browne of Fords, who received a Bachelor of Science in materials sci. & engineering.
  • Joseph Varco of Metuchen, who received a Bachelor of Arts in biology.
  • Yekaterina Vaynshteyn of Woodbridge, who received a Master of Science in chemistry.
