Animal Rescue Group Holds Independence Day Sale

SCOTCH PLAINS—Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption will have a 50 percent off sale to celebrate The Fourth of July.

The sale will begin on Saturday, June 27 and continue Tuesday, June 30, through Friday, July 3.  The shop will be closed Saturday, July 4.   All items in the store will be 50% off.  The store is located at 1750 E. Second Street, Scotch Plains and is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day except Sunday and Monday.

The Best Friend rescue group is a not for profit organization run solely by volunteers.  When you buy an item at the resale shop you are buying time for a helpless animal whose time would be up at the pound if not for the rescue group.

The rescue group has several emergencies and needs immediate homes for Cindy, an all-black, 10-month-old sweet and affectionate cat whose brother got adopted two months ago.  Cindy is currently in a foster home where she can no longer stay.

The group also has four kittens, all 7-8 weeks old. They are all male, very playful and beautiful.  Two are Russian blue/gray and two are black with white faces and necks. Currently they are in a foster home, in a cage and need to be free to enjoy their childhood.
