Union County Students Join College Honor Societies

UNION COUNTY—Eight students from Union County have been inducted into national honor societies at Berkeley College.

The following students from Union County were inducted:

  • Maria Carrasquilla of Elizabeth, Alpha Sigma Lambda
  • Carleen Jules of Plainfield, Phi Theta Kappa
  • Linda Lopez of Linden, Phi Theta Kappa
  • David Lugo of Elizabeth, Phi Theta Kappa
  • Jose Molina of Elizabeth, Phi Theta Kappa
  • Sally Portes of Linden, Alpha Sigma Lambda
  • Jairam Sanichar of Elizabeth, Financial Management Association and Sigma Beta Delta
  • Nicole Seawright of Linden, Sigma Beta Delta

The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society honors dedicated adult and non-traditional students who handle their life responsibilities while achieving and maintaining a high level of academic success.

The Financial Management Association National Honor Society acknowledges the accomplishments of outstanding students of finance.

The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society was established  to honor the academic achievement of students in two-year colleges.

The Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society was founded to honor students in business, management or administration.
