April Is “Youth Month” In Woodbridge

Just like kids growing out of their wardrobe, the 2009 Woodbridge Township Youth Month celebration has expanded with more exciting events and programs for kids and young adults than ever before.   

This year, our township-wide Youth Month gets started on April 2 with the Colonia High School Senior Class play “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and goes right through April 28 with the Student Works Art Show at The Barron Arts Center.  In all, more than 60 events geared to young people will take place at the Woodbridge Community Center, the YMCA, The Barron Arts Center, and Township libraries, parks and schools.   

This year’s Youth Month events and activities include:

April 2, 16, 30 ~ “ABCs of Babysitting,” 4 – 6:P00 p.m., Woodbridge Main Library

April 3 ~ YMCA Kids’ Fun Night, 6:30 – 9 p.m., Woodbridge Community Center

April 4 ~ Woodbridge Health Department “Open House” from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

April 4 ~ Woodbridge Township Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. at Parker Press Park

April 5 ~ Colonia H.S. Senior Class Play “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, 2 p.m., Colonia High School

April 3, 6, 7 ~ Student Works Exhibit at The Barron Arts Center, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

April 4 & 5 ~ Student Works Exhibit at The Barron Arts Center, 2 – 4 p.m.

April 5 ~ Chalk Drawing Contest, Noon – 2 p.m. at Woodbridge Town Hall

April 6-12 ~ National Public Health Week: “Building a Foundation for a Healthy America”

April 7 ~ Student Works Exhibit & Reception at The Barron Arts Center, 7 – 8 p.m.

April 8 ~ Municipal Alliance “CoffeeHouse Night”, 7 to 9 p.m., Woodbridge Community Center

April 9-15 ~ Student Works Exhibit at The Barron Arts Center, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

April 13-17 ~ YMCA Free Splash & Swim Program, Woodbridge Community Center
