ELIZABETH—The Union County Rape Crisis Center is seeking new volunteers to staff its 24-hour phone line and act as advocates for rape victims. No previous counseling experience is necessary. Volunteers receive full training.
Volunteers fill a valuable role by ensuring that rape victims in Union County have the resources and companionship they need to make informed, confident decisions about the aftermath of an assault.
The next training course for volunteers begins in February. For more information, prospective volunteers can call the Rape Crisis Center at 908-233-7273 or email email@example.com for details.
The Rape Crisis Center is part of Union County’s Department of Human Services. It has provided secure, confidential support services for rape victims since 1984. More information is available at unioncountyrapecrisiscenter.blogspot.com.
