Elizabeth Native Interviews For NFL Coach’s Job

DENVER, Colo. – Elizabeth native Todd Bowles became the seventh candidate to interview for the Denver Broncos’ vacant head coach position. The NFL team fired coach Mike Shanahan two days after their 8-8 season concluded.

Bowles, a disciple of former New York Giants coach and current Miami Dolphins executive Bill Parcells, is considered one of the hottest head coaching candidates in the NFL. He is currently the secondary and assistant head coach with the Miami Dolphins.

Bowles also has experience as a secondary coach with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets. He played defensive back at Temple University from 1982-1985 and spent eight seasons as an NFL player for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers.
