STATE—The Central Jersey Democratic Leadership Committee is hosting an Inaugural Ball at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge from 6-11 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20 to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama as America’s 44th president.

Tickets are priced at $200 per person, but patrons who purchase in advance can save $50 off the door price by ordering online at www.CJDLC.net or calling toll free 877-77CLICK.

According to Perth Amboy Councilman Fernando Gonzalez, the CJDLC chairman, massive crowds expected in Washington, D.C. for the historic event will make it difficult for most people to enjoy a satisfying experience there.

“Our celebration in New Jersey will let people here join in the festivities without traveling hundreds of miles to stand outside in the cold,” said Gonzalez. “This Black Tie Optional event features a five-hour open bar, a cocktail hour, an outstanding meal with all the trimmings, and entertainment that is sure to please every patriotic American.”

The organization is coordinating with sources in the nation’s capitol to capture the feeling of those Inaugural Balls actually attended by the new president.
