EDISON—The township’s 20-foot live blue spruce Christmas tree will be lit in a special ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The celebration will begin at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Heritage at Clara Barton, Amboy Avenue and 3rd Street, Edison.
This annual family event is also one of Edison’s most popular. Starting the evening’s festivities at 6:45 p.m., local jazz favorite, Lou Watson will warm up the crowd with seasonal favorites. The Edison High School chorus and the J.P. Stevens High School brass ensemble, will entertain beginning at 7:30. This will all lead up to the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the tree.
Everyone is invited following the tree lighting for free refreshments, and a chance to visit with Santa. For additional information, call Edison Recreation at 732-248-7312.
