turkey-cooked-1PERTH AMBOY–Assemblyman Joseph Vas joined Mayrich Development, LLC on Monday to distribute Thanksgiving turkeys to needy families in the 19th Legislative District at three Perth Amboy locations.

“As we celebrate Thanksgiving with our family and friends, we must remember to share our good fortunes with others,” said Vas (D-Middlesex). ”This endeavor will help to enrich the lives of residents in our district. I am proud to join our partners, Mayrich Development, for this event.  This partnership is a prime example of how the benefits of redevelopment cascade throughout the community.”

Mayrich Construction began over 70 years ago with a dream that cultivated through the early years and now serves as an elite force in excavation and foundation construction in New York City.  They have become “the best” and their reputation is unprecedented.

Since 1989 Preferred Freezer Services has revolutionized the cold storage warehousing industry through the efforts of Mayrich Construction. Preferred began with one dilapidated warehouse in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and is now the 7th largest cold storage warehousing company in the world.  They have achieved this monumental growth through strategic land acquisitions, a superior product, and a strong customer network.  An aggressive growth plan has been formulated and will be executed in the coming years.

The foundation of success and growth established by Mayrich Construction and Preferred Freezer Services has facilitated the vertical integration of Mayrich Development.  The third generation, Michael Giacopelli and Dwayne Rivera have acquired a vast array of industry experience and knowledge through Mayrich Construction and Preferred Freezer Services over the last 10 years.

“We are very pleased to work with Assemblyman Joseph Vas on projects such as this one, which provide a direct benefit to area residents,” stated Michael Giacopelli, president of Mayrich Development, LLC. “Our partnership with his office is based on a shared vision of bettering communities in the state of New Jersey, in which all residents can reap the rewards.”

“I applaud Mayrich Development’s generosity in reaching out to the community.  This gesture demonstrates the ongoing commitment to Perth Amboy and its desire to partner the community in a manner that touches people in a truly meaningful way,” concluded Vas.
