Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) will become the first African-American President in United States history.
Obama won the popular vote by more than seven million over Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona). Obama won 349 electoral votes to McCain’s 147.
Obama carried New Jersey, winning 2,062,583 votes to McCain’s 1,534,718.
