CLARK – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway will benefit from a community fundraiser sponsored by the Windsor Diner in Clark on Monday, October 27 from 5-9 p.m. The event “And a Side of Support” will donate a portion of every check that evening for customers who present a flyer to their server. Flyers will be available at the door. The diner is located at 1030 Raritan Road in Clark.
John Kallas said he was hosting the fundraiser because one of his employees had a family member who was a patient at RWJ University Hospital Rahway. The employee was so grateful to the hospital for its services and care for her loved one that she suggested a fundraiser as a way of showing appreciation and support. For more than 30 years the Kallas family has owned the diner and regularly sponsors fundraisers for the community.
The proceeds will be used to benefit the hospital’s Fund for Technology Advancements to upgrade its technology, equipment and improve its hospital facilities to continue to provide safe, high quality healthcare for the people of greater Union and Middlesex Counties.
Joe Gibilisco, RWJUH Rahway Foundation Chairman urges everyone to come on out to the diner and don’t forget to order “A Side of Support” for the hospital.
