Edison Scholars Commended

EDISON – Three seniors at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison have been named Commended Students in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program.

They are Krishna Chandrasekaran and Manish Kewalramani of Edison, and Sahil Zubair of Scotch Plains.

Krishna is the son of Mr. Kulan and Dr. Prathibha Chandrasekaran. Manish is the son of Dr. Chand G. and Mrs. Maya C. Kewalramani. Sahil is the son of Dr. Mohammad Zubair.

“The young people named Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program are distinguished by their strong academic performance in this rigorous competition,” commented an NMSC spokesperson. “Our nation’s pursuit of educational excellence can be furthered by publicly honoring these outstanding students and by acknowledging the important role schools play in fostering their development. We hope that this recognition will contribute to their educational opportunities and encourage all students to strive to realize their potential.”
