“Spencer Savings Bank is extremely proud of these young individuals and we take great pride in honoring them for their accomplishments,” said José B. Guerrero, president, chairman and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. “Our future depends upon these very students and at Spencer, we look forward to the day when these young people finish their studies and strengthen our communities.”

On July 9, Spencer Savings Bank hosted a reception for the winning students and their families in Elmwood Park. The students received their awards and were honored for their accomplishments.

The Spencer Scholarship Program, introduced in 2002, has been met with an overwhelming response and recognizable success. Criteria used to select the winners included the maintenance of an outstanding GPA, a history of community involvement, leadership and having a potential interest in business or finance.
