LINDEN – The city will host several fun and free events this holiday weekend at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade on North Wood Avenue across from Linden City Hall.
On Friday, July 4 at 7 p.m., enjoy the sounds of the Sensational Soul Cruisers. Not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns, the Sensational Soul Cruisers pay homage to classic performers from Otis Redding and the Drifters to Barry White and the Commodores. With a lifetime of study and hard work, this group captures and emulates the distinctive style and skill of a timeless show band.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street.
Enjoy the holiday classic “Yankee Doodle Dandy” at sunset on Saturday, July 5. The weekend celebration continues on Monday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. with another concert. The Kootz – with a passion for classic rock, pop, soul and blues… and just ‘plain old making great music’ will perform Monday night. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to McManus Middle School.
Finally, on Tuesday, July 8, at 7 p.m. Mustang Sally will perform. Fun, flirty and electrifying, Mustang Sally performs hit music ranging from classic country to southern rock and pop. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to Linden High School.
