First Communion—The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist was celebrated for the first time with the second grade students of St. Mark’s Parish on Hamilton Street in Rahway on Mother’s Day, May 11th. Rev. William T. Morris, Pastor, celebrated the early morning First Holy Communion Mass for the communicants and their families along with Rev. Robert Lamirez, Associate Pastor. Religious Education Director Maryanne Conroy thanked all the parents for supporting the year-long preparations for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion and commended teacher Patricia Smorol who instructed the youngsters during the past year. The first communicants included Matthew Angrisani, Alexander Brown, John Coulson, Norielle Debuton, Ashley Domingues, Valerie Galette, Steven Horton, Mathieu Houck, David MacQuirk, Devon Miranda-Simmons, Caroline Mull, Amy Soriano, Russel Tagaca, Jairo Urdinola, Jason Winters, Danielle Zihlbauer and Natalie Zito.
