PERTH AMBOY – Mayor Joseph Vas, the Perth Amboy Redevelopment Agency and Victory Center, LLC held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Riverview Harbor development site on May 7. The project is situated at the intersection of Sheridan and Patterson Streets. This parcel is comprised of approximately 7.5 acres of former industrial land, previously occupied by IGI Petroleum Specialties, Inc.
“Our approach to redevelopment has been comprehensive. It bridges the physical, social and economic needs of the community with smart planning and design to assure long term growth and prosperity. This specific mixed-use project focuses on creating a sense of community and pride by creating an atmosphere that is conducive to living, working and playing within the community,” said Vas.
Upon completion, Riverview Harbor will comprise of 11 two-family homes, 32 town homes, and 72,000 square feet of commercial flex / warehouse space. The residential development portion of the project will have direct access to the current open space / pedestrian walkway leading to Riverview Drive and the existing Riverwalk.
The Riverview Harbor is being developed by Victory Center, LLC with construction management services by Imperial Construction Group and design services by Alex Soffiantini and Associates. The principals of Victory Center, LLC have been successfully involved as developers completing many residential, commercial and mix-use projects throughout the state of New Jersey.

Imperial Construction Group has been providing construction management services throughout Hudson, Essex, Union and Middlesex counties for many commercial, residential and industrial developers. Imperial is currently providing services for the new Perth Amboy Public Safety-Court-Community Complex.
