The Gift Of Life—Woodbridge Mayor John E. McCormac was the first blood donor at a blood drive at City Hall on March 26 for Woodbridge residents and city employees. McCormac is an enthusiastic supporter of the voluntary blood donation program; Woodbridge sponsors two blood drives every year. The mayor has the universal type O negative blood, which means his blood can be used for virtually any patient. Knowing this, he makes a commitment to donate regularly. Forty-two people donated at this drive. The mayor is seen here with Blood Center of New Jersey Donor Services Representative Cherin Halley, who is holding his donation.
